Florida voters will be overwhelmed if this initiative passes.
Amendments by CountyLand Use Amendments by County
The proposed constitutional amendment would take decisions currently made by city and county governing bodies, after recommendations from professional staff and multiple opportunities for public input, and put them in the hands of the entire electorate. Voters would be asked to make decisions on ANY proposed comprehensive land use plan amendment. The table below shows how many amendments have been adopted from 1998 to 2003. These land-use plan decisions would be held at the same time as the general election, and by special election if necessary.
