Hometown Democracy?

The Florida Hometown Democracy Ballot Initiative is a proposal to amend Florida’s Constitution. It takes responsibility for planning away from local planners and elected officials and turns power over to “electors”, the cronies of Special Interests and their slick lawyers, who will decide our fate and the fate of Florida.

Did you sign the Petition?

The people collecting signatures on petitions are paid for each signature they collect. They often use deceptive tactics to get people to sign. They say that this proposed Amendment to Florida’s Constitution will “help protect Florida’s scenic beauty.” Their Amendment is even worded so that it sounds like this is what it will do. But it’s not true, learn why.

If your signature appears on a petition, you have the legal right to REVOKE (take back) your signature. You have 150 days from the day you signed any petition to revoke it. It only takes a moment, but it will go a long way toward protecting our state from the special interests.

Unless you want higher property taxes, higher utility bills and Florida’s scenic beauty destroyed by Big Developers, revoke your signature from their petition, and keep it off the ballot this fall.
